Wednesday Night @ the Block
John. Along with our vision of being a Normal Christian Youth Group (Project Normal), we are looking at the life of Jesus through the eyes of John and seeing how Jesus is definitely God and also definitely human. We are witnessing Jesus interact with people with such love, grace and truth, and praying that we will be transformed to be more like Him as we allow Jesus to take more control of our lives. We desire to make Him famous and ourselves less so; in the words of John the Baptist our desire is that, “He must become greater; I must become less.”
“Altared” Mornings-Sunday Mornings
1 John the book of love, and the book helping you to figure out if you are in Love, or in other words if you are in God and He is in you. 1 John is a powerful book that really helps us get real with God and our relationship with Him. It has been enlightening walking through 1 John on Thursdays and Sundays with the High school and Middle school students respectively, while also walking through the Gospel of John on Wednesday night, and seeing the parallel thoughts of dearly loved disciple. So if you are in High School come on out on Thursday nights to The Armory for some in depth Bible study and prayer, and if you are in Middle School we will see you at during the services for a time of in depth Bible study and prayer for “Altared” Mornings.
‘connect’-Sunday Evenings
Hosted at Pastor Sean and Natalia Howard’s home our current
series is called, “sex, dating and relating”, which will be a discussion about what God’s Word teaches about these very relevant issues. What does God say about sex outside of marriage? Does God’s Word talk about dating? How should boys and girls relate to each other in God’s eyes? When should I start looking for a husband or wife? These are some of the many questions we will be addressing in this series. All these issues matter to God, and so does your heart. He has spoken to us about these issues.
